If you are a member of the facebook groups you will know that there has been a lot of attention and discussion with regards to a further stallion located in the Holsworthy area which too has suffered similar
results of an attack like Erik. The police and RSPCA are involved and no media attention (offical reports) have been disclosed but we are under the impression this is not a linked attack and of natural causes, the
injuries caused are by another animal- this is still to be confirmed so please await an official report from
the Devon and Cornwall Police.
If you have been visiting the website you will see we have had almost 6000! Visitors since last Wednesday, the support has been overwhelming and we should be proud to be part of a community (horsey or non horsey) where people genuinely care about this horrific attack, it really has captured the nations attention.
As of yet the results from Eriks postmortem have still not been released and we are still awaiting to see if the police can reveal any further information from the findings.
The reward account is due to be open tomorrow, account details will be published on the website and we will then start a strong media campaign (with Dawn's blessing) to promote the fund and with fingers crossed the media will be interested especially if we can raise a large amount to grab their attention, people are easy to underestimate in these situations, but I am certain with the support we have had already that people will be donating as everyone want's the same outcome ...JUSTICE FOR ERIK! Let's do what we can to get to the bottom of this tragic event and put an end to it so the equine community can start to move on and Dawn can move forward knowing that her beloved stallion Erik did not die in Vain and he will be remembered for bringing the community together to make a stand for the love we have for our equine friends.
